Come and meet the artist behind the portraits as part of Cornwall Open Studios.
From 24th May – 1st June, I am welcoming visitors to my home studio here on the South coast of Cornwall.
You can find me at 10 Boscoppa Road, St Austell PL25 3DR. There is plenty of street parking, good access, comfortable seats so you can relax, and a very warm welcome to be had.
I can recommend other local artists to visit, including Belinda Latimer and Kym’s Crafty Hut who are part of our St Austell Art Trail.
And if you want to make a day of it, I will gladly suggest places to eat, walk and more. We have a wonderful array of landscapes, garden and creative opportunities here in St Austell Bay.
Drawing demonstrations
Every day of Open Studios I will have portraits on my drawing board so you can watch me work. I am very happy to answer any questions you may have about my process and the materials I use.
I have various works in progress to see, with studies in coloured pencil, graphite pencil and pastel as well as charcoal sketches.
Cornwall Open Studios
Join me between 11am and 5pm each day. Enjoy exploring my studio filled with original drawings, fine art prints and beautiful greetings cards. There’s a gorgeous cottage garden to brighten your day, and every visitor can take home a little bit of my colourful world with a packet of wild flower seeds from my garden.
Be inspired and learn to draw too
There are lots of ways you can learn to draw with me. From regular classes, workshops and a new Sketching Nature group through to personalised private tuition. Come and have a chat and see what might suit you best. My goal is to help everyone discover their inner artist, and the potential of the humble pencil. I promise you if you don’t know how to draw, it is only because you were not taught, and I can change that with you.
Dog friendly artist
To say I am dog friendly is an understatement, I love dogs! And they are all welcome to visit with you so feel free to bring your four legged friends. There are treats at the ready and lots of fuss to be had.
