Sold! I was delighted and very flattered to discover that someone likes this drawing enough to take it home, and even more so as he is a sculptor, specialising in dogs, whose work I love. This picture and three others of mine are showing in The Gallery - a pop up show in Bodmin, in the old Threshers shop opposite Wetherspoons. Pop in for a coffee and some culture if you are in the area, it is running till Sat 4th July.
You can see a selection of the work on display, and find out more about the exhibition and the brilliant volunteers of the Friends of St.Petrocs who have worked tirelessly to put the exhibition on as a part of their fundraising, on their website: www.thegallerybodmin.yolasite.com

These have been dubbed Funday Fridays at the centre due to all the laughter that is always present, and the enormous amounts of fun we all have. St.Austell Society of Artists
St.Austell Society of Artists are celebrating their 40 year anniversary, and held a evening exhibition event to mark their Ruby year.
The exhibition consisted of 40 pieces of art by 40 members of the art society, and I am delighted to say that my pastel painting, 'Chestnut', did me proud and won 3rd prize in the art competition. A great compliment as the art was all outstanding, so thanks to all for a lovely way to remember a brilliant night.
New members are always welcome to join St.Austell Society of Artists (SASA). We are a friendly group who meet on Monday
evenings in Charlestown, and enjoy regular demonstrations from visiting artists, workshops, talks and outings, plus opportunities
to exhibit together. For more information, contact me or visit our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/staustellsocietyofartists
Learn to Draw
Pastel Portraiture is a new string to my creative bow. Thanks to expert tuition from local pastel artist, Amanda Rae Thompson, I have discovered the wonders of pastel art, and really enjoy working in this responsive and colourful medium. A gallery of pastel art is coming soon to my website, and I will be taking commissions for pastel paintings of people and animal portraits - details to follow.

Drawing Demonstration at Truro Arts Company

Drawing Demonstration on 18th April at Truro Arts Company, River Street, Truro
A Blank Canvas brings together five very different artists who each will be creating a piece of original art on the streets of Truro. I will be based in a gazebo outside of the beautiful cathedral, and for the first time painting a pastel picture in public.
This will be challenging with the time limit, and it is always a lot of fun meeting passers-by, and I hope will encourage others to pick up some pastels and have a go too.
The completed artworks then will be exhibited at Lander Gallery from the 12th – 20th April, before heading to the Easter Sunday party on Lemon Quay for all to enjoy.
New Faces Exhibition at Lander Gallery gives an opportunity to local artists to show their work in the heart of the city. I exhibited two pieces, Bump – an original pencil drawing, and Tibetan Shaman – an original pastel portrait. It was a great privilege to be amongst so many talented artists and showing my art at this prestigious fine art gallery.
The New Faces exhibition ran from 22nd – 29th March 2014
Young at Heart Group
Young at Heart Group in St. Austell invited me to give a talk about my pastel art and to deliver a mini workshop for their group. I received a very warm welcome, and we all thoroughly enjoyed trying a new medium, and getting a taste for the bold colours and responsive nature of the pastels.
