Drawing Demonstration on 18th April at Truro Arts Company, River Street, Truro

A Blank Canvas TD Truro Festival 2014A Blank Canvas brings together five very different artists who each will be creating a piece of original art on the streets of Truro. I will be based in a gazebo outside of the beautiful cathedral, and for the first time painting a pastel picture in public.

This will be challenging with the time limit, and it is always a lot of fun meeting passers-by, and I hope will encourage others to pick up some pastels and have a go too.

The completed artworks then will be exhibited at Lander Gallery from the 12th – 20th April, before heading to the Easter Sunday party on Lemon Quay for all to enjoy.

Tamsin Dearing at Lander Gallery 2014New Faces Exhibition at Lander Gallery gives an opportunity to local artists to show their work in the heart of the city. I exhibited two pieces, Bump – an original pencil drawing, and Tibetan Shaman – an original pastel portrait. It was a great privilege to be amongst so many talented artists and showing my art at this prestigious fine art gallery.

The New Faces exhibition ran from 22nd – 29th March 2014

Young at Heart Group in St. Austell invited me to give a talk about my pastel art and to deliver a mini workshop for their group. I received a very warm welcome, and we all thoroughly enjoyed trying a new medium, and getting a taste for the bold colours and responsive nature of the pastels.
