Drawing Demonstration at Truro Arts Company

Drawing Demonstration on 18th April at Truro Arts Company, River Street, Truro
A Blank Canvas brings together five very different artists who each will be creating a piece of original art on the streets of Truro. I will be based in a gazebo outside of the beautiful cathedral, and for the first time painting a pastel picture in public.
This will be challenging with the time limit, and it is always a lot of fun meeting passers-by, and I hope will encourage others to pick up some pastels and have a go too.
The completed artworks then will be exhibited at Lander Gallery from the 12th – 20th April, before heading to the Easter Sunday party on Lemon Quay for all to enjoy.
New Faces Exhibition at Lander Gallery gives an opportunity to local artists to show their work in the heart of the city. I exhibited two pieces, Bump – an original pencil drawing, and Tibetan Shaman – an original pastel portrait. It was a great privilege to be amongst so many talented artists and showing my art at this prestigious fine art gallery.
The New Faces exhibition ran from 22nd – 29th March 2014
Young at Heart Group
Young at Heart Group in St. Austell invited me to give a talk about my pastel art and to deliver a mini workshop for their group. I received a very warm welcome, and we all thoroughly enjoyed trying a new medium, and getting a taste for the bold colours and responsive nature of the pastels.
St. Austell Society of Artists’ Spring Exhibition
St.Austell Society of Artists' Spring Exhibition is always a great show and a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the local talent of St.Austell and surrounding areas. This creative collaboration will feature work ranging from pastel to pyrography, oils, watercolour and acrylic paintings, plus drawing and glass engraving. With originals, prints and cards available to purchase, and featured artists in attendance each day, it is well worth a visit.
The SASA exhibition ran from 5th – 11th April in the Barn Room, Lobbs Farm Shop, Lost Gardens of Heligan nr St.Austell
Images gallery are stocking a selection of my limited edition giclée pints. Nestled in the beautiful and historic stannary town of Lostwithiel in Mid Cornwall, Images gallery has a hand-picked portfolio of local talent; well worth a visit before a walk by the river whilst you are in the town.
